Commissioned by CBK, Rotterdam for ‘Het Nieuwe Huren’. The idea of the project was to bring art into the homes of people. Jeroen Eisinga chose to bring an entire museum into the private home of a Rotterdam family. The “museum” was a machine, constucted by Eisinga, which produced a single soap bubble every thirty minutes. The noisy machine would shut itself down after this moment. This process continued day and night for over three weeks. After this the machine broke down and the family was relieved of its noisy presence…
